I've been a freelance writer and editor since 1994, first from Silicon Valley and now from Stockholm, Sweden. Recently I've written on outsourcing and stealth marketing campaigns for CMO magazine. I've been a contributing editor to Newsweek, written the "Valley Talk" column for Fortune.com and contributed to the New York Times, the Industry Standard, Fortune Small Business and other fine publications. I've also been a long-term contract editor for the now defunct Upside and FamilyPC magazines. In addition to Fortune, my award-winning columns have also appeared in Macworld and FamilyPC.

Before I jumped into freelancing, I was executive editor at Macworld magazine, managing editor at Macintosh Today and news editor at InfoWorld (among other titles). My first job in journalism was as fact-checker at Mother Jones magazine. I may be one of the few people who have written for both Playgirl and Ms.
